The Annapurna Conservation Area has always been a haven for trekking, as you get to see beautiful views of mountains like Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, and many more. 2025 has been a great year for this region as it has set a new record in tourism by welcoming 246,575 foreign tourists in 10 months. According to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) in 2024, it welcomed 244,045 foreign tourists.

Annapurna Month-by-Month Growth Highlights
Nepal has two trekking seasons: spring, from March to May, and Autumn, from September to November. April has been the busiest month, with 44,763 tourists welcomed. Clear skies and ideal trekking conditions played a vital role. January received the lowest number of 9,359 due to its colder winter period .
During a conversation, ACAP Chief Dr. Rabin Kadariya stated that tourism numbers have increased in all months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, with only May and September showing a slight decline. This shows sustainable growth due to accessibility and renewed global tourist confidence in Nepal's infrastructure for trekking .
