Overview

The Ghandruk Trek is an excellent trekking option for those with limited time in Nepal or who want to combine a relatively short trek with other activities in Nepal. “The old Gurung village” of Ghandruk is one of the trek's highlights. Staying in Ghandruk is a wonderful experience because the village has a welcoming atmosphere with its culture and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan giants Annapurna  Mountain, Hiunchuli Mountain, and Machapuchare Mountain  (Fishtail).

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu ( 1400m , 4593ft)

At the airport, a representative from our office and a driver in a private vehicle will be waiting to pick you up. After that, you'll be driven to the hotel where you'll spend the night. You will eventually meet your guide to discuss the trek and any equipment, documentation, or other necessities you may have while on the trek. You can simply buy or rent equipment and apparel in the Thamel area if you don't have any. After preparation for the trek, you can enjoy a relaxing walk through Thamel if you have time. 

Day 2 : Kathmandu to Pokhara (822m, 2696ft)

Today we will drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by  regular tourist bus. Usually, “Tourist “ buses depart at 7:00 am from Kathmandu and take 6-7 hours depending on road conditions.  After arriving at the hotel, take a break if you're tired or go for a walk around the Lakeside or maybe paddle some of the lakes. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Pokhara to Ghandruk (2012m, 6601ft)

After breakfast, we will take a shared jeep or a bus to Ghhandruk. We can enjoy a scenic view of the hills and small waterfalls along the way. We will arrive in Ghandruk village after a 2-hour drive. To get to our hotel or homestay, we'll walk through Ghandruk village. We will spend the night in Ghandruk, exploring their culture, and old monuments, and visiting their museum, and  also we will be able to enjoy their cultural dance and music in the evening. 

Day 4 : Ghandruk to Pothana trekking about 5 hours (1890m, 6200ft)

We'll leave for our next destination, "Pothana," after breakfast. The first an hour walking is only downhill  then after it  begins our up hill to Landruk village, The Landruk village as beautiful as  Ghandruk and also big village. We may stop at landruk for Lunch and then trek to Pothana for another hour or two.

Day 5 : Trekking Pothana to Dhampus Phedi via Australian Camp( 2060m,6758ft) and then drive back to Pokhara

The path leads  through a paddy field and then  trail leads through forests of rhododendron, magnolia, oak, sandalwood, and pine. Australians came and fixed their tents at this place on 1960th  that’s why they call this spot Australian camp, we may have our lunch here and  continue trekking down to  Dhampus Phedi that a low us to explore Dhampus village and beautiful farming terraces.We will have a short 40 minutes drive  from Dhampus Phedi to Pokhara by private taxi.
