Highlights

Overview

Gosaikunda Lake, located at 4380 m (14366 ft), is a high-altitude, alpine lake with significant religious significance. It is also a pilgrimage site, with hundreds of pilgrims visiting each year. According to one Hindu mythology book, Gosaikunda is the home of Lord Shiva and his wife. The locals will tell you many stories about the lake and past events. We hike to Gosaikunda Lake to appreciate its natural beauty and serenity. Enjoy challenging trekking, breathtaking mountain views, and diverse flora and fauna. It is the ideal trek package for anyone looking to spend a significant amount of time in the mountains. The difficulty level of Langtang and Gosaikunda is moderate, making them an excellent choice for first-time trekkers with a strong physique.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival to Kathmandu Airport ( 1400m ,4593ft )

To have some extra time to get ready for the trek, try arriving in Kathmandu during the day or early in the morning. When you arrive at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative and driver. They will accompany you to the hotel. The guide will be there for a coffee meeting to brief you about your treks and let you know about necessary items or treks. Examine your equipment and clothing. If necessary, do some last-minute shopping to make sure you have all the gear and accessories. You will meet with other team members for a welcome dinner in the late evening.

Day 2 : Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

You will begin your journey in the early morning with a beautiful ride through Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. We will see the magnificent Himalayan Range, as well as the surrounding countryside, rice terraces, and local areas. Trisuli Bazaar, one of the main bazaars, is on the way to Syabrubesi. After a steady ride, you will arrive in Dhunche (1960 m; 6430 ft), a charming Langtang village. Syabrubesi village is about a two-hour drive from Dhunche.

Day 3 : Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

The first part of the trail crosses Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. This path gradually rises to bamboo while passing through the landslide area. Following that, your trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400 meters) via Bamboo (1960 meters), which is located on the bank of Langtang Khola. If you want, you can have lunch here. Finally, your path connects with the Lama Hotel. If you were lucky, you might see red pandas, monkeys, and bears along the way.

Day 4 : Trek to Langtang Village

The trail follows Gumanechok; Ghoda Tabela refers to it as "the horse stable." Following this, the trail is slightly more gradual and scenic in the valley with the grazing yaks. Langtang village is one of the more remote and historic villages along this trek, and the views from here become more spectacular as we get closer to the mountain.

Day 5 : Trek to Kyanjin Gompa

Kyanjing Gompa is a quick and easy day trip. It takes approximately three to four hours. Kyanjing is the final settlement in the Langtang Valley. You can visit the cheese factory and monastery in Kyanjing, as well as buy cheese. This is a stunning valley with numerous interesting sights. Overnight stay at a lodge with full-course meals

Day 6 : Day of exploration at Kyanjin Gompa

There appears to be a trail to ascend the peak just in front of the face, where you can see a peak with a lot of landslides. We recommend that you not attempt to climb that peak if there is snow or if it begins to snow while you are there because of the narrow trails, steep terrain, and slick moraine thus far. Don't forget to bring a stick if you're climbing this peak. Fortunately, it provides breathtaking views. It is possible to hike up Kyanjin Ri, which has an elevation of about 4700 m. It takes you very close to Langtang Lirung.

Day 7 : Trek back to Lama Hotel

You will be treated to a breathtaking view on your way back to the Lama Hotel. From Kyanjin Gompa, the Lama Hotel is a lovely downhill hike. Take in the scenery and trails that you will see.

Day 8 : Trek to Thulo Syabru

We came to a fork after passing through the landslide "pahiro" day of Syabru Beshin to the Lama Hotel. After that, the trail descends a small hill through bamboo to a local tea shop that serves cold drinks. Then we'll cross the suspension bridge and get a great view of Ganesh Himal. The path ascends through smooth mud, and some domestic animals dunk through bamboo and houses, leading to Thulo Syabru. Overnight stay at a lodge with full-course meals

Day 9 : Trek to Cholang Pati

The trail ascends steeply, passing through green scenery that includes and extends beyond the Manaslu, Ganesh, Tibet, and Langtang ranges. There is a shorter route to Cholang Pati from Thulo Syabru than the one via Singgompa. The trail is normally flat after Foprang Danda until it reaches Sing Gompa. Singompa is well-known for its cheese factory as well as a Buddhist monastery. Some hikers spend the night here. We continue for about an hour and a half to Cholang Pati, then another 40 minutes up Laurebina (3920 m), from which we can see excellent mountain views ranging from Annapurna to Langtang the next morning, and Dhaulagiri depending on weather conditions.

Day 10 : Trek to Gosaikunda

we will continue our journey to Lauribina's purest holy lake, Gosaikunda. Your journey will begin with a steady ascent. You will now cross a short ridge and see Gosaikunda Lake for the first time. The three largest lakes within the Gosaikunda region are Saraswatichandra, Bhairav Kunda, and Gosaikunda. As you approach Gosaikunda, you can see the entire lake. The area is well-known for its "Janai Purnima" celebrations; thousands of devotees visit Gosaikunda every year during the full moon in August. The walk is exceptional because it allows you to see grassland as well as an unrivaled frozen lake in winter.

Day 11 : Trekking back to Dhunche

We return to Dhunche via Singompa, then take the trail to the left of Singompa. The trail descends steeply from here, passing through picturesque villages and a military camp where you must present your permits. On the way down to Dhunche in the spring, we can pick up a lot of wild berries. Overnight stay at a lodge with full-course meals

Day 12 : Drive back to Kathmandu

In the morning, we'll take public transportation (a Jeep or microbus) to Kathmandu. The path takes us through a valley with a lush green forest and a few scattered villages. We will arrive in Kathmandu by the end of the day, and you will check into your hotel.

Day 13 : Departure from Nepal

We'll drop you off at the airport, say our final goodbyes, and send you on your way. We can make arrangements for you to continue your treks or activities.
