Trip Itinerary

At the airport, a representative from our office and a driver in a private vehicle will meet you. Following that, you will be driven to your hotel, where you will stay the night. You will meet your guide to talk about the walk. You can also discuss any equipment, documents, or other needs you have for the trail. If you don't have any equipment or clothing, you may easily buy or rent some in the Thamel region. If you have time after preparing for the trek, take an easy walk through Thamel.

Today, we'll take the typical tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. "Tourist" busses usually leave Kathmandu at 7:00 a.m. and travel for 6-7 hours, depending on road conditions. If you feel tired after getting to the hotel, take a break. You can walk around the lakeside or paddle in the lakes. Stay overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, we'll take a shared jeep or bus to Ghhandruk. We can appreciate the scenery of the hills and little waterfalls along the way. We'll arrive at Ghandruk village after a two-hour drive. To go to our hotel or homestay, we'll stroll through Ghandruk village. We will spend the night in Ghandruk, experiencing their culture and old monuments, as well as visiting their museum. We will also get the opportunity to experience their cultural dance and music in the evening.

After breakfast, we'll head to "Pothana," our next stop. The first hour of walking goes downhill. After that, we walk uphill to the beautiful Landruk settlement. It is twice as stunning as Ghandruk. After stopping for lunch at Landruk, we might hike for an additional hour or two to reach Pothana.

The path leads  through a paddy field and then  trail leads through forests of rhododendron, magnolia, oak, sandalwood, and pine. Australians set up their tents here in the 1960s. That is why this spot is called Australian Camp. We can have our lunch here and then continue trekking down to Dhampus Phedi. This will let us explore Dhampus village and its beautiful farming terraces. After that, we will take a short 40-minute drive from Dhampus Phedi to Pokhara in a private taxi.
