The best time to visit Ghandruk via the Australian camp trek is during the seasons of Spring (March, April, and May) and Autumn (September, October, and November). Trip Itinerary

Your Journey begins after you arrive at Kathmandu, TIA - Tribhuvan International Airport. At the Airport, the Adventure Glacier representatives, along with the driver, will be waiting for you at the arrival area by showing a placard with your name. After we meet, we will welcome you by giving you a bouquet of flowers. Then, you will be transferred to your tourist standard hotel by our private vehicle. After you reach your hotel, you will be provided with a glass of fresh juice, and then you can take a short rest. Then, you will meet your guide. The guide will give brief details about the trek along with the equipment. You can discuss the documents and other essential things that are required for the trek. After discussing, if you don't have any equipment or trekking clothes, you can buy or rent them from some shops in the Thamel area. You can also explore tourist destinations of Kathmandu, such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Syambhunath, the Garden of Dreams, and the 3 durbar squares (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur). In the evening, you will be welcomed to the traditional dinner with us. The traditional dinner includes bhat (Rice), dal (lentils), masu (meat), and green vegetables along with the curd. During dinner, you will meet all the representatives and have a chance to get to know them. After dinner, we have arranged the music and dance for you to entertain yourself. After that, you can go to prepare for tomorrow and sleep.

On this day, you will enter Pokhara - the gateway to the Annapurna region. After having breakfast at your hotel, you will take a tourist bus at 7:00 am. Pokhara (822m) takes approximately 6-7 hours to reach. The time truly depends upon the road conditions and the weather. You will have a picturesque drive that winds through scenic hills and valleys. Furthermore, you will also catch a glimpse of terraced farmlands, forests, and distant mountain views. During the drive, you can also stop the vehicle and have some refreshment. After a few hours of scenic drive, you will arrive at Pokhara - a city known for its serene lakes, stunning mountain views, and vibrant culture. Upon reaching Pokhara, the first thing you will do is to check into your hotel and take some rest. If you want to explore Pokhara, you can fully visit the main attractions such as Phewa Lake, Davis falls, World Peace Pagoda, Gupteshwor Cave, and Mahendra Cave. You can witness the sunset view from Sarangkot, which can be jaw-dropping. After that, you will return back to your hotel where you will eat the delicious cuisine. After that, you will spend the night there.

After breakfast in your hotel, you will begin your journey on a group jeep or bus towards Ghandruk (2,012m) - a stunning village renowned for its customary Gurung culture, stone-houses, and imposing Himalayan scenery. You will have a scenic ride. While having the ride, you can witness the stunning mountain views, characteristic villages, and undulating waterfalls. It is about 2 hours' drive to reach Ghandruk, so you have plenty of time to observe the serene natural beauty. After a few hours, you will reach Ghandruk Village. You need to take a short stroll through the village to reach your hotel. If you have enough time and are interested in visiting Ghandruk, you can explore the place by immersing yourself in its culture and history. You can also explore the local museum in Ghandruk. By exploring it, you can learn about the Gurung's customs, lifestyle, and heritage. In the evening, you will watch the beautiful cultural music and dance of the village. After witnessing the cultural program, you will return back to your hotel, where you will eat the traditional dinner. Then, you will stay overnight.

This is the first day of trekking. After a good breakfast at your hotel, you will begin your trek to Pothana (1,890m). You will trek downhill for an hour on the stone steps, forest paths, and village houses surrounded by fields. During the descent, you will enjoy stunning views of the mountains such as Annapurna and other nearby peaks. After a trek of a few hours, you will reach the Landruk - a stunning Gurung village with exquisite landscapes of the surrounding hills. You will get a brief rest here and relish a delicious lunch. After lunch, you will continue your trek by ascending for a few more hours to reach Pothana, a tranquil village abounding in dense greenery. In between, you will be taking serene forest trails and open ground. You will eventually reach Pothana after a couple of hours of trekking. After that, you will relax at your hotel the whole day. You can visit if you want to explore the nearby places of Pothana. At night, you will have dinner with us while sharing some of the moments that touched you. After that, you can stay overnight.

This is your final day of this Journey. After breakfast, you will begin your trek towards the Dhampus Phedi via the Australian Camp. You will descend through the traditional terraced farmlands of rice and millet, which offer the enchanting view of the surrounding village. Furthermore, the paths take you through the rhododendron, magnolia, oak, sandalwood, and pine trees. While trekking, you will listen to the sound of birds from which you may feel refreshed. After a few hours of trekking, you will reach Australian Camp (2,060m) - a popular viewpoint that is surrounded by lush forest and peaceful hills. From this place, you can witness the awe-inspiring view of Mt Annapurna and Mt Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). At this place, you will eat a delicious lunch, as it is a perfect place to relax and eat lunch.

After having lunch, you will continue your Ghandruk via Australian camp trek towards Dhampus, a picturesque village known for its traditional Gurung houses and stone-paved lanes. While trekking through Dhampus, you will see the beautiful farming terraces where locals are working in their fields. From this place, you will trek towards the Dhampus Phedi - the endpoint of your trekking journey. At this place, the private taxi will be waiting for you to drive to Pokhara. It takes around 40 minutes to reach Pokhara. Upon reaching there, you will check into your hotel and take a well-deserved rest. If you want to explore the deeper side of Pokhara, you are allowed to explore it. At night, you will have the final meal with us and then stay overnight at your hotel.
