Trip Itinerary

To have some extra time to get ready for the trek, try arriving in Kathmandu during the day or early in the morning. When you arrive at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative and driver. They will accompany you to the hotel. The guide will be there for a coffee meeting to brief you about your treks and let you know about necessary items or treks. Examine your equipment and clothing. If necessary, do some last-minute shopping to make sure you have all the gear and accessories.

To get to the start of the trek, take a long, scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. We will start our journey after breakfast. Enjoy mountain views, terraced fields, and rivers while driving. As you pass through Dhunche, you have the impression that you are entering deep land.

The first part of the trail crossing Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. This path gradually rises to Bamboo while passing through the landslide area. Following that, your trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400 meters) via Bamboo (1960 meters), which is located on the bank of Langtang Khola. If you want, you can have lunch here. Finally, your path connects with the Lama Hotel. If you were lucky, you might see red pandas, monkeys, and bears along the way.

The trail follows Gumanechok; Ghoda Tabela refers to it as "the horse stable." Following this, the trail is slightly more gradual and scenic in the valley with the grazing yaks. Langtang village is one of the more remote and historic villages along this trek, and the views from here become more spectacular as we get closer to the mountain.

Today's walk is shorter but sufficient for acclimatization. The surroundings are also interesting due to the well-known cheese factory. The Langtang Lirung and other peaks surround this lovely valley. A place to explore the valley and climb numerous small peaks. Spend the night at the guesthouse.

It's time to relax and go for a walk today. You can explore the monastery and the cheese factory, hike up the moraine to observe Langtang Lirung's beautiful ice faces and calving glaciers, or climb Kyangjin Ri (4350 meters), this trek's highest point and the point directly behind the settlement, for a breathtaking panorama of the Langtang peaks.

On your way back to the Lama Hotel, you will be treated to a breathtaking view. The Lama Hotel is a lovely downhill hike from Kyanjin Gompa. Enjoy the scenery and the trails that you will see.

The initial path descends to the river, crosses it, and then climbs to Thulo Syabru. Along with other sights, you'll see the fascinating views of Langtang Himal. You will pass through forests of juniper and pine on your trek. In Thulo Syabru (2,230 m/7,316 ft), spend the night.

To reach Shin Gompa, the track ascends a broad pathway that leads to Dimsa hamlet before descending a less-sharp path through an oak, rhododendron, and hemlock forest. Along the walk, you will enjoy breathtaking views of Langtang Himal and Langtang Valley. Another popular spot for cheese is Shin Gompa. You will spend the night at Shin Gompa (3,330 m/10,925 ft).

The path ascends easily through a point covered with rhododendrons to the top of the cliff and then passes through a forest. Red pandas, an endangered species also known as cat bears in Nepal, may be found in great numbers in the region between Sin Gompa and Laurebina Yak. Returning to the ridge trail, you ascend a bigger path through the alpine region until you reach a Gosainkunda. Spend the night at Gosainkund (4,460 m/14,632 ft), then explore the area around the lakes.

Today is a difficult day because the trail is steep, and rough, and crosses moraines. The trail ascends and crosses Laurebina Pass (4,609 m/15,121 ft) after passing three more small lakes, then descends to Phedi, where you continue to walk up and down a rocky hill with pine and rhododendron trees. You'll spend the night in Gopte (3,440 m/11,286 ft).

You descend through a forested area and ascend through a small valley to reach a Khakra surrounded by a rhododendron forest. You make your way through the forest to Thare Pati village. Climbing the ridge directly above the village provides a breathtaking view of the Jugal area. Cross the village and enter a forested area before descending to the Melamchi River and climbing to Malemchigaon (2,560 m/8,399 ft) for the night.

Walk up to Tarke Gyang on the day you visit the Helambu Region to experience Sherpa culture, which includes traditional villages and monasteries. The stone homes are huddled together and separated by little lanes. Tarke Gyang (2,590 m/8,497 ft) is where you'll spend the night.

You'll be walking through a small forest with a view of the lovely village of Helambu. The trail circles the wide valley end between Parachin and the lovely Sherpa village of Gangyul. The people of this village follow Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, which is also Bhutan's national religion. Sermathang (2,610 m/8,563 ft) will be your destination for the night.

A short walk down to Melamchi Pul Bazaar, where many Sherpa villages can be found, and then catch a bus to Kathmandu. A farewell dinner will be held by Adventure Glacier Trekking. Congratulations on completing your journey! Kathmandu is where you'll spend the night.
