If you don't have any equipment or clothing, you may easily buy or rent some in the Thamel region. If you have time after preparing for the trek, take an easy walk through Thamel.

Today, we'll take the typical tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. "Tourist" busses usually leave Kathmandu at 7:00 a.m. and travel for 6-7 hours, depending on road conditions. If you're exhausted after arriving at the hotel, take a break and go for a walk around the lakeside, or paddle any of the lakes. Stay overnight at the hotel.
